We take Labor Day seriously! Our one scheduled absence from the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market is Labor Day weekend. Why don't you take it off as well? Relax a little and we'll see you the following week, refreshed and ready to roll.
And remember Heirloom Beans ships on Tuesday!
I’d say that’s a good weekend to skip.
Things are going to be a little… you know, “slow” over there.
A Day for Beans:
Since it’s going to be so “slow”…this weekend, check out this article from New Mexico about the persistance of beans…..

I was hoping to hear about the “slow
‘weekend from you!!!
Enjoy your time off Amore!
I actually hope it’s a hit and everyone has a good time. I’ve come to the conclusion that on the local level, Slow Food can be a great thing. On the national and leadership level, they are clueless. If your local group is active and does things you can get behind, I think it’s great. I also think it’s an introduction to food politics and you may discover a lot of other more action-oriented groups that are much more dynamic and less self-conscious.
I will say, in the end, I’m kind of surprised that I had been invited to speak on seed saving and New World beans and ended up getting the boot. But I’ll cope!
Yessir!!
My copy is pre-ordered already. I can’t wait.
Steve,
We pre-ordered at Borders.com last week and the order is “still in process.” Checked bn.com and Amazon sites today and they say “out of stock” — is there a problem with the publisher/distributor?
