A Rare Night Out in San Francisco

We had a reception at the Colonial Arts gallery in San Francisco last night. There was tequila, tamales (from our heirloom corn) and cheesecakes made with our xoconostle marmalada. Plus some friends. I am just in love with this space! You owe it to yourself to visit if you have any interest in Latin antiques.

I then went with a friend to Nopalito. At long last!

The service is great and the smell of good, nixtamalilzed corn permeates the place. For me the highlights were the green mole tamal with mushrooms and the carnitas, but everything is worthy of your attention. The heirloom beans are pretty swell, too!
